Chiefs' Conner to Make Season Debut

Conner, who led the team in defensive snap percentage last season, is a favorite of defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. 'It seems like every year he's been here, 27 keeps showing up, making plays,' Spagnuolo said of Conner, who can play nickel or safety.

Jaden Hicks and Alohi Gilman have started at safety in Conner's absence, with Hicks playing every snap. Starting left tackle Josh Simmons will miss his fourth consecutive game due to a bulging disc, with undrafted rookie Khalil Benson starting in his stead. tbzikra.com
