Of the first 10 players selected in the 2022 NFL draft, eight have earned extensions with their original teams. Defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux (fifth overall) and offensive lineman Evan Neal (seventh overall), both drafted by the Giants, are the exceptions.
Thibodeaux is in his option year with no expectation of an extension, while Neal became a free agent in 2026 and re-signed for the one-year minimum.
