Saints trade Jones to 49ers for White

The Saints are trading veteran linebacker Deion Jones to the 49ers in exchange for running back Zamir White, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Saints needed running back help with Alvin Kamara out at least a month with an MCL sprain. Devin Neal and Kendre Miller have also missed time in camp with injuries. The 49ers signed White on Aug. 12 as they dealt with backfield injuries of their own, though Christian McCaffrey returned to practice on Sunday. sweetbonanza-app.com

Jones reunites with 49ers defensive coordinator Raheem Morris after the two were together with the Falcons from 2016-20. Jones, a Pro Bowler in 2017, spent the past two seasons with the Bucs and played all 17 games last season.
