Saints waive Austin, Welch after adding OT, DT

The New Orleans Saints have waived wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. and tight end Treyton Welch, corresponding moves after claiming offensive tackle Mason Murphy and defensive tackle Colby Wooden from waivers on Monday.

Austin, 26, has appeared in 16 games for New Orleans over the last two seasons. In 2025, he caught 13 passes for 140 yards with a touchdown in eight contests with one start. Welch, 25, appeared in three games with one start for New Orleans last season, recording 16 offensive snaps and 21 special teams snaps. lebandit.lat

The Saints made these roster moves after claiming Murphy from the Bears and Wooden from the Colts earlier on Monday, adding depth to their offensive and defensive lines.
