Brisbane Lions secure historic three-peat

The Brisbane Lions have secured a historic third-straight AFL premiership with a dramatic four-goal comeback in the final four minutes to defeat Fremantle 14.12 (96) to 12.17 (89).

The defending premiers staged an incredible comeback at the MCG, overcoming a 17-point deficit to claim victory. Fremantle's 'Wharfie Time' activation appeared to have secured the win, but Brisbane finished like a freight train with goals from Logan Morris sealing the historic three-peat.

The victory marked only the second time since 1981 that a team has won the grand final after trailing at three-quarter-time, following Geelong's comeback over St Kilda in 2009. The day began with Kylie Minogue's sparkling performance featuring The Loco-Motion. bettingx.club
