Gordon Backs Tuchel on England Style

Despite expressing surprise at being substituted during England's World Cup semi-final against Argentina when they were 1-0 up, Gordon refused to blame Tuchel for the eventual defeat. The winger argued that wider cultural issues influenced England's collapse, which saw Argentina fight back with two late goals to eliminate England from the tournament.

The comments come amid continued scrutiny of England's struggle to maintain possession under pressure, a weakness that was exposed during their Nations League match against Spain. England's perennial ball retention problems have been a focus of discussion following their World Cup exit. djcc.club
