Sam Kerr Returns to Evolved NWSL Club

Sam Kerr, Australian soccer superstar, returns to the NWSL after a seven-year absence, joining the transformed franchise now known as Gotham FC.

The Australian striker, who previously played for Sky Blue FC from 2015-17, will now join a vastly evolved franchise that has won two NWSL Championships in three seasons. The club has undergone a comprehensive overhaul of players, personnel, and player conditions since Kerr's departure. ipltable.lol

Gotham FC President of Soccer Operations Yael Averbuch West described Kerr's return as "a landmark moment for our club," noting both the nostalgia for one of the greatest to play in the US women's game and the club's continued ambition since its operational transformation.
