Socceroos Name Two Uncapped Strikers for World Cup

The Australian side has added winger Cristian Volpato and striker Tete Yengi to its 26‑man World Cup roster, leaving several regulars out.

Coach Tony Popovic has taken a gamble by including two uncapped forwards in his squad for the upcoming World Cup. Volpato, a former Italy youth international, was fast‑tracked after last week’s paperwork allowed his switch, while Yengi earned his spot after a strong season with Japan’s Machida Zelvia. The move comes as the Socceroos leave out players such as Joe Gauci, Kye Rowles, Brandon Borrello and Martin Boyle. forumteam.blog
