A violent crash on Saturday left UAE's top riders injured, leaving the team with only five riders for the rest of the Giro.

A high‑speed crash during the Giro d’Italia’s Saturday stage left UAE’s star riders Jay Vine, Marc Solér and team captain Adam Yates with serious injuries. Vine suffered a concussion and an arm fracture, Solér broke his pelvis, and although Yates finished the stage, he is out for the next one.
