White Sox End Playoff Drought
The Chicago White Sox defeated the Houston Astros 7-3 on Wednesday to sweep their AL Wild Card Series, ending an 18-year playoff drought. The victory marks the franchise's first playoff series win since beating Houston in the 2005 World Series.
Despite struggling at the plate, Munetaka Murakami joined the celebration as the White Sox became the only team in MLB history to follow consecutive 100-loss seasons with a playoff berth. Manager Will Venable praised his team's unwavering belief, while Chase Meidroth's three-run homer sealed Wednesday's win. Chicago will now face Cleveland in the AL Division Series starting Saturday. albergomalica.it

Solbakken tok ut 25 spillere i samlingen.
(NTB)
