Bad news for Roma on the injury front. Hermoso has thrown in the towel and will be unavailable for the away match against Genoa.

According to Il Tempo, the Spanish defender had hoped to return to the squad this week, but the pain in his iliopsoas hasn’t completely disappeared.

Even in the last session, Hermoso performed individualized work, a sign that his recovery isn’t yet complete.

The Giallorossi medical staff has therefore decided not to take any risks, postponing his return until next week, when the defender will be able to attempt to return to training with the rest of the team.

Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni is reportedly bracing for a hostile reception from the AC Milan faithful ahead of Sunday’s Serie A derby.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 26-year-old is likely to face backlash from fans due to his controversial actions in February’s Derby d’Italia.

Despite being one of Europe’s most highly rated center-backs, Alessandro Bastoni has found himself in the crosshairs of angry supporters.

Indeed, his theatrical dive in last month’s Serie A clash against Juventus has brought him under heavy scrutiny.

Fans all over the county have booed the Azzurri star since his infamous Derby d’Italia antics.

Unfazed by off-field turmoil, Bastoni continues to be the cornerstone of Inter’s defense.

Moreover, nothing will change this weekend, as Cristian Chivu has no intention of benching his defensive stalwart.

However, Bastoni could suffer the same fate as Ronaldo ‘Il Fenomeno,’ whom Inter fans labeled as a ‘traitor’ when he joined Milan in 2007.

Needless to say, the Brazilian legend faced relentless jeers from opposing fans in similar high-stakes showdowns.

Following Borussia Dortmund’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League, it could leave the Black-Yellows with a shortfall of up to €27m, according to Bild, who add that Julian Ryerson would be allowed to leave the club for a reported €30m.

The Norwegian has been in excellent form this campaign with 14 assists in 32 games across all competitions, which has attracted interest from Manchester United, Newcastle United and Barcelona.

Only Bayern Munich stars Michael Olise (18) and Luis Diaz (13) have more Bundesliga assists than Ryerson (11) this term. The 28-year-old’s four assists against Mainz in February is only the fourth time a player has done so since detailed data collection began in 2004/05.

Additionally, Bild further report that Nico Schlotterbeck, Serhou Guirassy and Felix Nmecha are also candidates to leave, should they receive a suitable offer, as Sebastian Kehl and Lars Ricken look to overhaul the squad ahead of next season, with Kauã Prates and Justin Lerma, both 17, joining Die Schwarzgelben in the summer.
